Snap Receipt ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Snap Receipt mobile application and associated backend services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

We may also use additional infrastructure providers (e.g., database hosting, caching services) to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements. The specific providers we use may change over time as we improve the Service. An up-to-date list of our sub-processors is available upon request.
Our Service uses artificial intelligence to provide its core functionality. When you upload a receipt image, it is transmitted to our servers and then processed by our AI provider. The AI extracts:
We also use AI to generate monthly spending reports, category insights, and smart shopping list suggestions based on your historical purchase data.
Important: Receipt images and extracted data are sent to a third-party AI service provider for processing. We use enterprise-grade AI APIs that are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models. Your receipt data is processed solely to provide you with the Service and is not retained by the AI provider beyond the processing request.
You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing. If you believe an AI-generated categorization or extraction is incorrect, you can manually edit any receipt details within the app.
While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service.
We may retain anonymized, aggregated data indefinitely for statistical and product improvement purposes. This data cannot be used to identify you.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable laws), you may have the following rights:
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured, commonly used format.
You can edit your receipt details, account information, and preferences directly within the app at any time.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain records.
You may contact us to opt out of analytics tracking. Note that error reporting is essential for maintaining Service stability and cannot be individually disabled.
You can configure notification frequency, quiet hours, and disable notifications entirely through the in-app notification settings. You can also revoke push notification permission at the operating system level.
You can control whether receipt images are retained after processing via the privacy settings in the app.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address listed in Section 12 below.
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
Your information may be transferred to — and processed in — countries other than the country in which you reside. Our third-party service providers — including those providing AI processing, analytics, error monitoring, notification delivery, cloud storage, and communication services — may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions.
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom (UK), or other jurisdictions with data transfer restrictions, we rely on:

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us:
We aim to respond to all legitimate requests within 30 days. In some cases, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
